Argentium Silver is made with a touch of germanium. It presents a bright white color that is closer to fine silver than traditional sterling and is extremely slow to tarnish under most conditions. 14K/20 Gold (aka 'gold-filled') is 20% solid by weight and will not wear off like plated-gold.

Metaphysical: While not a rock or mineral, Fordite is prized by both lapidary and jewelry artist for its unique and intricate beauty. aka “Detroit Agate” Fordite is a trade name given to hardened enamel paint that has collected in layers in automobile factories. Over many years layers of paint built up, this material was removed, found to be an acceptable and unusual lapidary material, and made into jewelery.
